disclaimer of liability

We have compiled the information on this website to the best of our knowledge and belief. However, we cannot guarantee that the content is correct, accurate, up-to-date and complete. Liability claims regarding damage caused by the use of any information provided, including any kind of information which is incomplete or incorrect, will therefore be rejected.

Data privacy policy

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Our website can therefore be used without giving any personal data. For some functions, however, we use technologies that have to process certain data in order to be able to unfold their benefits. In the following we discuss these services and the respective use of the data in detail.

Contact forms
The general contact forms integrated on our website generate an e-mail to the responsible recipient from the data provided by you, who uses the information to process your request. Your data will be treated confidentially and will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to deal with your request.

Cookies

A “cookie” is a small text file that is stored directly on the user’s computer. The content often contains only a short string of characters that allows our server to recognize you the next time you visit in order to facilitate the use of the website.
If you do not agree to the use of cookies, you can switch them off at any time in your browser settings and delete existing cookies. In this case, not all functions of our website may be usable correctly.

Google Fonts and Font Awesome
This website uses fonts from Google and Fonticons for a uniform and appealing presentation. In order for these to be displayed, your browser retrieves them from the corresponding external servers and transmits the same usage data as if you had clicked on a link. Google itself assures that this information will be used for technical purposes only and will not be linked to your Google Account information (https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq). Fonticons also pays great attention to data protection and has set up a special contact address for the EU and Switzerland (https://fontawesome.com/privacy).

Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin etc.
Although our website contains links to so-called “social media”, no data is transmitted to these services, as we do not use external plug-ins from social media providers. Only by clicking on such a link do you contact the service in question by calling up the page. From then on the regulations of the respective provider apply.

YouTube
On our pages we have embedded videos which use the player of the internet portal YouTube. Displaying the page prompts the browser to download the player from YouTube, giving YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, knowledge of the page viewed and the video viewed, whether or not the video is being played.

Data storage and statistics

As with any connection to a web server, the server of our hosting partner Cyon in Basel (Switzerland) logs and stores certain technical data. This includes the IP address and operating system of your device, date and time of access, the type of browser and the origin page of the request (referrer). This is necessary for technical reasons to make our website available to you. Your information is always transmitted in encrypted form (https). Our partner protects the data with various technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access and does not pass it on to third parties.

In addition, our entire website is copied daily to an external server (off-site backup) for security reasons. These backups are kept separately in a safe for several days. Among other things, they contain the entire database including your personal data, provided that we have stored them. The copies are only accessible to the provider and are only used in an emergency in order to restore an earlier state after a data loss.
